You see, there was a quest where you could kill a boy’s father right in front of him because the dad was a defector in one way or another, and since I’m an “all or nothing” type of person and I wanted the most evil points for being on the evil faction, I chose to kill the dad. When I dabbled in Star Wars: The Old Republic (the MMORPG) I had to completely switch factions because I didn’t have the gumption to be a sufficient Sith Lord. Since we’re still getting to know each other at this point (with this being my second post and all) this is a good time to mention that I have a ton of empathy, so this type of gameplay is perfect for me. I only knew two things about Undertale before getting started, and that was A.) There is a dog somewhere in the game and B.) You can apparently play in such a way that you don’t actually have to kill anybody. If you are like me and prefer to dive into games without much prior knowledge, you might want to skip over this for now and download the demo yourself before reading any further. As I loosely promised in my last post, here’s Part 1 of my experience playing the Undertale demo.
